Scream of The Roosters portrays an elderly woman who reminisces about her unknown, unfulfilled, or undiscovered past. This woman has repressed her past homosexual desires that are resurfacing. In her youth, she felt a homosexual attraction to another woman while they were dancing and practicing together. She had to conceal her emotions and her sexual orientation towards women. She lived in a society where homosexuality was always forbidden, taboo, punishable, or sinful. But her “unfulfilled” desire for a woman, driven by the fear of persecution, made her hide her true self.
